QPR v Millwall, Wednesday 19th September, 19:45
QPR had a dreadful start to their Championship campaign losing each of their opening four games but have since turned a corner, winning two of their three unbeaten matches.
Other than Preston in their opener, the Hoops’ only defeats have come against top-eight sides in Bristol City, West Brom and Sheffield Utd and they’ll be confident of another good performance on Wednesday night. In fact, excluding top eight opposition, the hosts have won seven of their last eight matches at Loftus Road.
Millwall are on a dreadful run of form, losing three of their last four winless outings, while on the road they’ve lost each of their last two matches. The visitors may have held league leaders to a stalemate last time out, but that match came at The Den where they are a far stronger side.
The Lions’ performances are regressing whereas QPR have impressed us in recent weeks and they seem to be on an upward curve and 2.45 looks a generous price for Steve McClaren’s men.
