Since their win over Wolves, Huddersfield have slipped back into their old ways with two consecutive losses, something West Ham will want to take advantage of as they look to consolidate their place in the top half of the table. Form Labs return with their betting preview and tips for the game and don’t forget to see where the value lies with our enhanced odds for the weekend’s games in our FanBoosts section.

Normal Service Resumes For Huddersfield

It was fanciful for anyone to believe that Huddersfield’s recent 1-0 win over Wolves would be a turning point in their season, and indeed they’ve duly followed that rare success up with 1-0 and 2-0 defeats to bottom-half sides Brighton and Bournemouth respectively in their subsequent two matches.

In fact, a third of their games this season have finished by one of those two scorelines and having failed to find the net in their last five road trips, another win to nil for their opponents could well be on the cards.

However, that could be sorely tested this weekend with the Hammers up next, as Manuel Pellegrini’s men have kept just two clean sheets in their last 13 outings and just one in the past eight.

In fact, they’ve only managed three shutouts in 15 home games, with two of them rather surprisingly coming against Chelsea and Arsenal.

Despite this, they’ve been good going forwards, with only the ‘Big Six’ and Bournemouth netting more than them on home turf this season.

They’ve plundered 18 goals in seven matches hosting bottom-half sides, managing to score at least twice in all but one of these, and so the safer bet is to back the hosts to net a least two goals.

No to mention, their three head-to-head meetings since the Terriers’ promotion have seen the Hammers put seven goals past them and at the London Stadium that should be a mere formality against weak opposition.
