Udinese v Roma Goalscorer Odds

Roma put Sampdoria to the sword with a 4-1 victory prior to the international break and will feel confident of adding more goals against Udinese. The hosts have conceded 14 times across their last seven matches, including eight in four at home against top-six outfits Juve, Napoli, Lazio and Milan. There’s little reason to think it won’t be the same hosting Roma, who have scored more than those last two and as many as Inter this term, while the Giallorossi have won each of their last 10 matches against Udinese as they netted 22 goals.

While Edin Dzeko is the main marksmen for Eusebio Di Francesco’s team, the Bosnian striker only has two goals in 11 Serie A appearances this term. His service have been put to better use in the Champions League with five goals and two assists from just four games. It was a similar case last term as he netted eight times across 12 games in Europe, while managing just 16 goals in 36 matches in domestic league action. Instead, we’d prefer to turn our attention to Stephan El Shaarawy, who has netted five times in his last eight in Serie A, while he has five goals in 10 encounters with Udinese.

Juventus v SPAL Goalscorer Odds

Mandzukic opened the scoring for Juve against Milan at the San Siro and already has five goals and two assists from nine league matches, compared to last season where he could only produce five goals and three assists across 32 matches. He’s clearly enjoying playing alongside Ronaldo with the Portuguese superstar laying on the assist for three of those goals, as Mandzukic has been free to stay up top as the focal point while the five-time Ballon d’Or winner drifts around wherever he wants. While Ronaldo was expected to feature intermittently for the Old Lady domestically with his signing a statement of ambition for the Champions League, he’s actually played every minute in Serie A so far and has been absent from Portugal’s UEFA Nations League campaign – meaning he should be fresh to start here following the international break. He inevitably takes up much of the market, but his burgeoning partnership with the Croatian makes his partner in crime an interesting alternative. SPAL have conceded 16 times in their last seven away to top-six outfits, losing this fixture 4-1 last term, and Mandzukic ought to fancy his chances.

Lazio v A Milan Goalscorer Odds

Patrick Cutrone reached double figures in Serie A last term and though he’s only netted twice in this campaign, his opportunities have been limited by the arrival of Gonzalo Higuain. The Argentine is suspended for this clash however after seeing the red mist against his former side Juve, meaning the 20-year-old should be handed an opportunity to stake his goalscoring credentials. He’s certainly taken his chances in the Europa League with three goals in as many games, against Real Betis twice and Olympiakos, despite only being on the field for 170 minutes. He also grabbed four goals and two assists from nine matches in last seasons’ run to the last 16 where they were knocked out by Arsenal.
Milan have netted in each of their last 12 league encounters with Lazio going back to the 2012/13 season, scoring 21 times in total. Meanwhile, Lazio have lost all four encounters with fellow top-six sides this term as they’ve conceded an average of 2.5 goals per game, while going back to last season they’ve lost nine of their last 11 winless outings against such teams, conceding at least twice in all but one of these defeats. With six players at a shorter price to register on the scoreboard at some stage, the young Italian represents a better option than the more fancied alternatives.
