Udinese V Chievo Betting Tips
Having lost three of their last four, Udinese will welcome the chance to face the weakest team in the division, which also provides an opportunity to put some distance between themselves and the few teams directly below them in the table. Chievo have also lost three of their last four, conceding an average of three per game, while they’re winless on their travels this season as they’ve lost six of 11 trips to date.
Despite their struggles in recent times, Udinese have won 10 of 14 matches hosting bottom-six outfits since 2016/17, keeping a clean sheet in eight of those successes. In possession of the joint-best defensive record in the bottom-half of the table along with 12th-placed Parma, they’ll hope to continue that pattern here against a side that are similarly low scoring. Chievo aren’t helped in that respect by the absence of Sergio Pellisier, with the 39-year-old their second-top scorer this term with four goals, while top scorer Mariusz Stepinski has hardly been prolific with just six to his name.
Inter Milan v Sampdoria Betting Tips
Sampdoria couldn’t keep relying upon the genius of Fabio Quagliarella to propel them towards Champions League football and, as expected, they’ve drifted from the pack as they’ve gone W1-D1-L3 over their last five fixtures, while also going out of the Coppa Italia to AC Milan. They’ve lost each of their last four encounters with the current top six in the league, as all of them have come on the road while conceding an average of three per game.
Inter have endured some poor results of late as well, but they’ve still won seven of their last nine league outings at the San Siro, while also keeping seven clean sheets across these too. The Nerazzurri have won all three clashes between these two since the start of last season by an aggregate score of 9-2, and can rely upon their defensive unit (they’ve only shipped one more than Juve this term) to provide a platform for success.
Napoli v Torino Betting Tips
Napoli have endured some disappointing results on their travels, going W1-D2-L3 over their last six across all competitions prior to facing Zurich, though in mitigation these fixtures were tough ones against Liverpool, Inter, Milan (twice) and Fiorentina. Their home form remains as strong as ever as they’ve won 13 of 16 unbeaten matches at the Stadium San Paolo this term, including their current streak of seven consecutive victories as they’ve plundered 18 goals since late November.
In fact, such is the strength of Napoli’s home form that they’ve won 26 of 30 unbeaten home league matches since 2015/16 when excluding top-six and bottom-six sides. Only three of these victories saw them register fewer than two goals, while they’ve won six of seven unbeaten matches against Torino home or away over this period, netting at least three times in four of the last five. Although Torino have only lost once on the road this term, that came in their last trip to a top-six side and they’re winless in six and may struggle to repel the hosts’ lightning attack.
