Napoli v Frosinone Betting Tips

Frosinone took a while to get to grips with this level as they lost seven of their opening eight winless encounters. They have since gone a far more respectable W1-D4-L1 but only one of these has been against a top team, as Inter swatted them aside with a 3-0 victory even though Luciano Spalletti elected to rest several key players. That means they’ve lost all five versus teams currently 7th or higher in the table by a combined score of 13-2, and with four of those coming on their travels, it’s hard to look past Napoli.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men were held to a shock stalemate hosting Chievo in their last encounter at the Stadium San Paolo, but they’ve since recovered with a solid win over Crvena Zvezda at the same venue and another on the road at Atalanta. They’ve won seven of 10 unbeaten fixtures on home turf across all competitions, with the other draws coming against Roma and PSG, while they’ve kept clean sheets in half of these games as Milan were the only side to net more than once against them back in August. Indeed, excluding top-four finishers and the current top four, they’ve won a whopping 45 of 54 unbeaten home league matches since 2015/16, with their last such defeat coming in their first home game of the 2014/15 season.

Cagliari v Roma Betting Tips

Roma may only have the solitary victory in six league outings, but they can count themselves highly unfortunate to walk away with just a point for their efforts against Inter after being denied a clear penalty. They also played pretty well against Real Madrid in the Champions League prior to that as Gareth Bale’s quality and some wasteful finishing from Cengiz Under proved the difference, though the latter hasn’t let that miss affect him as he demonstrated with a wonder strike against Inter. They should get back to winning ways against Cagliari, who have drawn their last three despite two of these coming against bottom-six outfits.

The hosts have just the solitary victory in 14 matches hosting top-half outfits since the start of last season (W1-D6-L7), but while they’ve drawn all four such games this term, they’re yet to face one of the big guns with the possible exception of Milan, who are still a team in transition really. Roma haven’t been at their best this season, but they still possess a W16-D6-L2 record visiting bottom-half teams since 2016/17, keeping a clean sheet in 13 of those victories, and with signs of improvement recently must start as strong favourites.

Lazio v Sampdoria Betting Tips

Lazio have hit a sticky patch as they’ve drawn their last three against Sassuolo, Milan and Chievo, with Gennaro Gattuso’s side taking advantage to leapfrog them into fourth. However, their four defeats this term have come against Napoli, Juve, Roma and Inter as they’ve largely beaten everyone else, leaving them with seven wins from eight unbeaten matches against teams outside the current top eight. That includes all four that came at the Stadio Olimpico as they even downed both SPAL and Genoa 4-1.

Sampdoria recorded their own 4-1 victory hosting Bologna last weekend, but the visitors that day are just W2-D5-L7 this term as they’ve gone seven without a win. In fact, the visitors have had that same scoreline inflicted upon themselves twice recently against both Torino and Roma at the beginning of November, while Milan put three past them in their previous game to that, as their backline has looked far from solid in recent weeks. Indeed, that’s 13 goals they’ve shipped in their last five, and while they managed nine of their own, we’d have to fancy Simone Inzaghi’s side to outscore them. Lazio have won their last seven home games against Cagliari, with the last three encounters finishing 4-2, 4-1 and 3-0.
