Livingston v Dundee Betting Tips
Livingston ended a streak of four consecutive defeats with a draw away to Hearts, but they’ve been much better on home turf and would actually be up in fifth place in a table based on home results only. They’re W7-D2-L3 at the Tony Macaroni Arena this season, with each time where they’ve failed to win coming against top-half opponents. That includes defeats in their last two there – to 2nd and 3rd placed Rangers and Aberdeen respectively – and Dundee won’t provide them with such a stern examination. Indeed, the visitors have only won three times all season and have lost eight of their 12 road trips to date, also going down 3-0 away at Championship side Queen of the South in the Scottish Cup at the end of last month.
Although Livingston are actually down in ninth place in the table, they’re considerably nearer to the few teams above than the three that sit below them at present. They’ve won four of six matches against Hamilton, Dundee and St. Mirren this term, including a 4-0 victory over their visitors here at this same ground back in October, which has been one of nine occasions where the Dee have shipped at least three goals this season.
Rangers v St Johnstone Betting Tips
Rangers may have to make do without suspended duo Allan McGregor and Alfredo Morelos, but though the latter provided the goals that downed the Saints 2-1 in December, the Gers have plenty of attacking options within their ranks with the likes of Jermaine Defoe and Kyle Lafferty able to deputize. In fact, Steven Gerrard’s side had five different goalscorers when they beat St. Johnstone 5-1 at Ibrox back in September, as they’ve now won six of seven meetings between these two since the start of 2017.
The hosts find themselves in excellent form as they’re W7-D3-L1 across all competitions since mid-December, including wins over fellow top-three outfits Celtic and Aberdeen, while they’ve really got the bit between their teeth at the moment with four wins from their last five unbeaten matches. By contrast, St. Johnstone are really struggling at the moment having suffered five consecutive defeats as they conceded at least twice in each, with the latest a 5-0 humiliation away to Celtic in the Scottish Cup.
Aberdeen St. Mirren Betting Tips
Although Aberdeen have slipped up in their last three at Pittodrie, these were tough fixtures as they were beaten by the Old Firm duo and delivered a stalemate with fourth-placed Killie. Home or away, those have been the only occasions where they’ve dropped points in their last 10 matches, and up against basement dwellers St. Mirren, taking the full three points should prove a mere formality.
St. Mirren have suffered defeat in six games on the trot as they shipped 16 goals, including 4-0 losses to both Celtic and Rangers. They form part of a bottom three that have been cut adrift from the rest of the division and against those sides, the hosts have won all six games this term as they netted an average of three per game. Aberdeen have also won all four head-to-heads between these two sides in 2018 across all competitions, netting exactly four goals in all three here while they have produced an aggregate scoreline of 14-3 across all of them.
