Motherwell v Livingston Betting Tips
Motherwell have won three on the bounce and though these were all by one-goal margins as each came against bottom-half sides, eighth-placed Livingston will offer them a similar challenge.
By contrast, Gary Holt’s visitors have embarked upon their worst run of the season as they’ve lost three on the spin and are winless in five.
Although these defeats each came versus top-half sides, none were against reigning champions Celtic while they shipped an average of two goals per game across these.
Moreover, they’ve been amongst the worst travellers this term, netting just seven times in 11 matches, and especially recently as they’ve lost five of seven winless road trips since the start of November and also failed to net in five as well.
Hibernian v Aberdeen Betting Tips
Hibs picked up their first win in six outings in the absence of suspended head coach Neil Lennon (who has since left the club), coming from behind to down rock-bottom St. Mirren with three second-half strikes. Academy head Eddie May has declared that he holds no interest in the position full time, though the reaction from the players may test that resolve should the results continue to come in.
That victory was in part down to a change in system as Oli Shaw replaced the injured Daryl Horgan, with the substitute getting onto the scoresheet to kick-start the comeback before setting up the final goal to seal the points, leaving the caretaker boss with a template on which to build.
There were also encouraging passages of play involving Ryan Gauld, who has recently joined on loan from Sporting CP, and they’ll fancy their chances of recapturing their early season form that saw them up in second place in the table after eight games this term.
St. Johnstone v Celtic Betting Tips
These two only faced each other last Friday, so Celtic will be confident after using their game in hand to extend their lead at the top to six points following their 2-0 win on home turf. They’ve now won six of their last seven as they’ve netted 19 times, with the exception their defeat in the Old Firm derby, and though Brendan Rodgers’ men have been far more imperious on home turf, recent visits to McDiarmid Park should leave no doubt as to who will take the spoils here.
Indeed, Celtic have won all five trips there across all competitions since 2016/17 as they netted at least four times in all but one of these, while in the league alone they’ve won each of their past two trips 4-0 and 6-0 in 2017/18 and 18/19 respectively. St. Johnstone have lost each of their last three against top-half sides, leaving it difficult to envisage anything other than another resounding win for the visitors.
