Aberdeen v Kilmarnock Betting Tips
Kilmarnock were impressive in beating Rangers midweek, pretty much ending Steven Gerrard’s chances of landing the title and placing themselves in pole position to challenge Celtic. However, while the result leaves them with four wins from five unbeaten outings, the other fixtures came against the bottom-four and Aberdeen will offer a stern examination having beaten Killie when they last met back in November.
In fact, the Dons are W16-D3-L1 in head-to-head meetings with their visitors here since 2013/14 across all competitions, while they’re currently enjoying their best run of the season with six wins from seven outings, as the exception came in a 4-3 thriller against the reigning champions. They’ve also won seven of their last nine at home, and should have the better of a Killie side that have been less impressive on their travels where they’ve been victorious just once within their last four.
Dundee v Motherwell Betting Tips
Jim McIntyre’s men claimed a rare win at Hearts to lift themselves off the foot of the table, though they’re just W1-D3-L7 at Dens Park this season, leaving them with the worst home record in the division. Although results there have improved of late, they’re facing a team on the up after Motherwell won their last two outings, with both coming against bottom-half sides.
In fact, the visitors have triumphed in four of six matches with the teams below them in the table this term, including all three on their travels and both encounters with Dundee. They’ve also won six of seven unbeaten head-to-heads since the start of last season across all competitions, and with each of their away defeats this term coming at teams above them in the table, should stay true to form here.
Hearts v St. Johnstone Betting Tips
Although hearts suffered defeat at Dundee in their last outing, results have picked up following a turbulent period as they’ve been hit and miss of late with three wins and three losses from six games. They kept clean sheets in each of those victories and in seven of their 11 wins this term overall, but if they’re to beat St. Johnstone that’s the likely manner in which they’ll do so, having won all four home matches against their visitors here since the start of last season by an aggregate score of 7-1.
That’s especially the case as Tommy Wright’s side are the joint-lowest scorers amongst the top eight in the table, and though they’ve been in good form, they’ve only netted more than once in two of their last eight on the road. Hearts are W5-D2-L1 on home turf this season when excluding the current top three, and can continue their recent improvement as well as their strong record at home to the Saints.
