With two consecutive wins Valencia come into the final round of the 2018/19 La Liga season well placed to secure the final Champions League spot. They are however locked on 58-points with Getafe so nothing short of a win will guarantee them the all-important fourth spot. Form Labs return with their betting preview and tips for the game while we bring you plenty of value with our selection of enhanced odds.
Valladolid Secure Top-Flight Status
Valladolid will be on a high after securing their La Liga status for another season with a victory over Rayo Vallecano, their third win in four outings, though another of these triumphs also came versus one of the four teams below them in the table, Girona.
They’ve been rather less successful up against the top six in the division, losing eight of 11 winless matches this term, though they were at least level at the break in eight of these games (five D/L doubles) as they’ve rarely been embarrassed.
In fact, only one of these fixtures saw them go down by three goals and only a further two matches saw them lose by two.
They’ll certainly feel they stand a chance against a Valencia outfit that have lost four of their last six across all competitions.
However, two of those came in Europa League tussles with Arsenal and another came away at Atletico Madrid, while excluding the three teams above them, Marcelino’s men have won seven of their last 10 matches in the league alone.
Levante v Atletico Madrid Preview, Betting Tips And Enhanced Odds
Valladolid v Valencia Betting Tips
Valencia have sneaked ahead of Getafe on head-to-head points in the race for fourth place, with Sevilla just two points further back, and they need a victory to guarantee Champions League football next term.
However, while we wouldn’t be at all surprised if they get the job done, they’re far too short to back at the prices for the outright win, especially having drawn in the reverse fixture earlier on in the campaign.
Instead, the hosts appear worth backing on the handicap having consistently avoided a drubbing against the top sides, while Valencia have only won by more than a single strike in one of their 18 away games this term – against rock-bottom Huesca.
Real Valladolid +1.25 Asian Handicap At 1.91
