West Ham v Watford Betting Tips
Having lost their opening four matches of the campaign, there were plenty of critics circling the Hammers and Manuel Pellegrini like vultures. However, they’re now on their best streak of the season as they’ve won four on the trot and broken free into the top half of the table.
Admittedly, each of the teams they’ve beaten on this run are down in the bottom half, but they’ve scored an impressive 11 times across these games and produced some good football to boot.
Meanwhile, their opponents have only just sneaked back into the top half courtesy of a narrow victory over Cardiff, coupled with yet another defeat for Bournemouth at Wolves. The Hornets had lost four of six winless outings prior to that, while they’ve lost 14 of 17 road trips to top-half outfits since February 2017.
These two appear to be travelling in different directions at present, and given West Ham have won four of their last five unbeaten matches on home turf when excluding the visits of City and Spurs – including a win over United and a draw with Chelsea – it’s hard to look past the improving hosts.
Chelsea v Leicester Betting Tips
Leicester haven’t been at their best recently and indeed they’re just W2-D4-L4 over their last 10 matches. That form has seen them slip into the bottom half of the table, while opponents Chelsea have been perfectly adept at beating such teams under Maurizio Sarri.
In fact, no current bottom-half team has taken points off the Blues this term, with Chelsea winning seven of their nine such encounters by at least two clear goals.
Chelsea can also boast a strong record against the Foxes, winning five of six head-to-head unbeaten encounters since 2016/17 in all competitions, while the Foxes are just W2-D2-L12 against ‘Big Six’ outfits in the league since the start of last season.
That becomes an even worse record of 12 defeats from 14 winless road trips to face such teams since 2016/17, and with that in mind, this should prove a relatively routine victory for the hosts on current form.
Dillian Whyte v Dereck Chisora II Preview, Betting Tips And Enhanced Odds
Cardiff v Manchester United Betting Tips
Cardiff lost an extraordinary game away at Watford last time out, with the quality of goals on display unusually high, but while they ended up on the wrong side of a 3-2 defeat, the Bluebirds will be looking to their home form to keep them up.
Indeed, they’ve won four of their last five at the Cardiff City Stadium, though in mitigation these came against rock-bottom Fulham, poor travellers Brighton, a Wolves team in the midst of five defeats from six winless outings, as well as a Southampton outfit that Ralph Hasenhuttl had been in charge of for just two days.
The hosts have been thoroughly outclassed in their encounters with the other members of the ‘Big Six’, losing all five such games by a combined score of 17-4. United may be enduring a dismal season, but they’ll have had the week off to lick their wounds and prepare for this clash, which is probably just as well given their recent injury issues should have largely subsided by then.
They had no problems dispatching promoted Fulham 4-1 before their humiliation at Anfield, and even if they can’t match the margin of victory managed by Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool against Cardiff, they ought to have enough in their locker to walk away with maximum points like Spurs and Arsenal.
