Manchester United v Huddersfield Betting Tips
For almost the first time this season there will be a positive atmosphere around Old Trafford as club legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer takes charge of his first home game. He couldn’t have asked for a much easier task either with Huddersfield coming to town. Indeed, the Terriers are one of the poorest travellers in the Premier League and they’re without the influential Aaron Mooy for the whole of the festive period. Furthermore, David Wagner’s men have lost their remaining five matches with ‘Big Six’ opposition this term, scoring just once while shipping 13 times.
For all their shortcomings under Mourinho, United have only lost once at home this season and that was against Spurs. They dismantled a poor Fulham outfit in their last appearance at the Theatre of Dreams and with the shackles released, we’re expecting a similar showing here.
Liverpool v Newcastle Preview, Betting Tips And Enhanced Odds
Brighton v Arsenal Betting Tips
Brighton’s record of only six defeats from 27 home matches is respectable in anyone’s book, but it’s noticeable that five of these came against ‘Big Six’ outfits, while the other was Leicester. For as plucky as they can be under Chris Hughton, during their time in the Premier League they’ve gone W1-D1-L12 when facing the current top five as they’ve simply been outclassed.
Having lost their last road game at a revitalised Southampton, we’re expecting a response from Arsenal and it’s worth noting they’ve netted at least twice in all eight of their away matches. We can’t see this Seagulls side outscoring them and with the Gunners going W4-D1-L1 on their travels when excluding the ‘Big Six’, they’re a decent price to add to our acca.
Watford v Chelsea Betting Tips
Watford beat Cardiff last time out at Vicarage Road as they were pegged back from 3-0 to 3-2 to make for a nervy final 10 minutes. It was just their second victory in their last six here, as the other came against Huddersfield, while the remaining four matches ended in defeat.
Three of those were to ’Big Six’ opposition as they’ve lost four of five such encounters at all venues this term. That makes their overall record against the ‘Big Six’ since the start of 2016/17 a dismal W5-D2-L22. Chelsea are a decent enough W5-D1-L2 on the road this term with the two defeats coming at Wembley and against a Wolves side where they should have been out of sight by half-time.
In fact, going back to the start of last season, they’re W14-D2-L5 on their travels when excluding fellow ‘Big six’ opponents, so should have enough about them to overcome the Hornets.
