Everton v Bournemouth Betting Tips
October must now seem a world away for Bournemouth fans as they’ve lost 10 of 13 matches across all competitions since November came around. The latest of these came at home to Brighton in the FA Cup, despite Chris Hughton’s men being notoriously poor travellers, while their fragile backline has now conceded 15 times in just four outings.
Indeed, only Burnley, Cardiff and Fulham have shipped more than Eddie Howe’s men this term, and so Everton will view this as an opportunity to get back on track after some disappointing results of late.
The Toffees have lost four of their last five league games, though two of these were by just the single strike, while they still registered in defeats to Man City and Spurs even if the margins were wider. The exception saw them trash a dismal Burnley 5-1, so there’s little doubt that Marco Silva’s outfit possess the firepower to cause the Cherries further misery.
In fact, the hosts have won all three encounters between these two sides at Goodison Park since Bournemouth’s promotion by an aggregate score of 10-5, while the visitors have some crucial absentees in the shape of defenders Adam Smith and Simon Francis, as well as midfielder Lewis Cook.
Tottenham v Manchester United Betting Tips
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has now won each of his five games at the helm by at least two clear goals, though this is his first real test as United manager after a honeymoon period of kind fixtures.
12th-placed Bournemouth are the highest ranked opponents he’s encountered so far, though as previously mentioned, the Cherries are enduring a dire spell of form.
Meanwhile, the other vanquished teams were Cardiff, Huddersfield and Newcastle – all of whom are battling relegation – and a Reading side that are second from bottom in the Championship.
Spurs have been far more reliable this term as they’ve won 16 of 21 league games and are yet to share the spoils. Although three of their defeats have come at Wembley, Liverpool and City are a class apart while Wolves continue to cause upsets against ‘Big Six’ outfits as they have done all season.
Long gone are the days under Sir Alex Ferguson when Spurs were considered a soft touch. Indeed, the hosts have won each of their designated home fixtures in head-to-head meetings over the past three campaigns by a combined score of 7-1, while they crushed them 3-0 back in August at Old Trafford.
Manchester City v Wolverhampton Betting Tips
Wolves notched up another giant killing with victory over Liverpool in the FA Cup, though Jurgen Klopp was criticised for the wholesale changes to his team selection as he handed debuts to three teenagers (two from the off and one from the bench).
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have already taken a point of City this term at Molineux, though there appears to be renewed focus from the hosts following a massive win over Liverpool in their blockbuster clash in their last league outing.
That came at the Etihad and City’s record there since the start of last season is absolutely phenomenal. They’ve gone W26-D2-L2 over 30 matches as they’ve only failed to score twice or more on three occasions, netting over three goals per game on average across these as 21 of the wins were by a margin of at least two strikes.
They’ve been victorious in 10 of 11 matches this term as only a shock loss to Crystal Palace proved the exception, and so it’s impossible to oppose the hosts with Wolves winning just one of their last four in the league.
