Norwich will want to secure promotion back to the Premier League in style after four consecutive draws. With just the two games to go they are only three points clear of Sheffield United and will want to consolidate that lead when they welcome Blackburn this weekend. Form Labs return with their betting preview and tips for the game, while we bring you plenty of value with enhanced odds for all the top-flight leagues.
Norwich On The Brink
Championship leaders Norwich moved to the brink of promotion despite a fourth consecutive draw, with the latest at Stoke.
They currently lead third-placed Leeds by six points, as well as a +10 better goal difference, and with two games to go, unless something drastic happens they’ll be in England’s top division next season.
Of course, Daniel Farke won’t just want to settle for that, as they also lead second-placed Sheffield Utd by three points, and you feel with Emiliano Buendia back in the side in front of the home fans, a victory should be on the cards.
Blackburn Recent Form
Having endured a barren spell of nine defeats from 11 matches between February and early April, Blackburn have since turned their fortunes around with four straight victories.
They netted twice in each of those – against Derby, Forest, QPR and Bolton – and although that looks good at first glance, it seems they have been slightly fortunate with their fixtures as the latter three were in abysmal form at the time of playing.
Therefore, we’re hesitant to get stuck in to them, even though they’re a juicy price, as they haven’t actually proven themselves against the best. Indeed, their form against the breakaway top-eight sides this term reads W3-D4-L8, as all three victories came at Ewood Park.
However, they did manage to at least get on the scoreboard in five of their seven such trips, while they’ve only failed to net in just two of their 22 road games against all teams this season.
Norwich v Blackburn Betting Tips
The hosts have won 11 of their last 16 matches at Carrow Road, as their only defeat was a seven-goal thriller against Derby, as the Rams netted twice late on to steal the points.
They conceded in 12 of those matches, which is enough evidence to suggest the Rovers can get a consolation strike, but having won five of the last seven unbeaten outings here, we can’t look beyond the Canaries securing promotion in emphatic style.
