Leipzig welcome Gladbach in our featured Bundesliga clash and one that looks rather intriguing. The visitors find themselves second in the league after reeling off eight wins from the 12 games so far this season, while Leipzig sit fourth and very much in the title race. Form Labs return with their preview and betting tips and if you are after some additional value then check out our comprehensive selection of enhanced odds from across all of Europe’s top leagues.

Leipzig Recovered After A Slow Start

Leipzig had a slow start to the season as they lost to Dortmund before drawing with newly promoted Dusseldorf. However, it has been much better since then with six wins from their last 10 matches and although their only defeat across these came last time out at Wolfsburg, that won’t worry them too much.

Indeed, they have been ferocious at the Red Bull Arena with four wins from their last five unbeaten outings, while across all competitions they’ve won five of their last six unbeaten matches here, keeping a clean sheet in each.

Gladbach In Superb Form

That defensive record is likely to come to an end as Borussia M’gladbach have some form of their own, with five wins from their last six league matches as only Freiburg could get the better of them. They did manage to defeat both Bayern Munich and Werder Bremen in that time, but it has been well documented that the Bavarian giants haven’t been at the races yet this season while Bremen went into that game having lost both their previous two outings. A serious worry for Dieter Hecking’s men will be their 5-0 defeat against Bayer Leverkusen in the DFB Pokal less than a month ago, while their league record on the road reads W2-D2-L2 so far this term, which doesn’t fill us with confidence.

Bundesliga Goalscorer Betting Tips And Enhanced Odds – Week 13

Indeed, they’ve never beaten their hosts from four attempts, losing twice. In fact, against top-six sides they hold a poor record on their travels, winning just three of 18 matches since 2015/16, losing 11, while eight of the last 10 saw both sides find the net. That compares to The Bulls’ W6-D1-L3 record from their eight games hosting similar teams since their promotion in 2015/16, with both sides netting in each of the last eight – making that an appealing add on for any accas.

Injury Concerns

The visitors will be without centre back Matthias Ginter after he suffered a nasty clash of heads last weekend, while central midfielder Jonas Hofmann is also a doubt, with the duo’s potential absence seriously damaging their chances. The former has played every minute of football for them since his arrival at the start of last season, while without Hofmann starting they’ve won just one of their last six, losing three of them, compared to six wins from their last seven with him as they netted three times in each of those victories. Leipzig may be missing a midfielder of their own too in Diego Demme, which could well open up this match, but we are firmly with the hosts in the outright, even after a midweek trip to Austria.

Leipzig v Gladbach Betting Tips

We’re expecting goals in this tie with only Dortmund scoring more than Gladbach’ 30 this term, while the hosts have a respectable 22 of their own. Indeed, Leipzig have failed to score only once from 12 home games in all competitions this season, while visitors have failed just once from their 14 outings both home and away. As we are expecting Leipzig to win, that leaves either Yussuf Poulsen or Timo Werner in the goalscoring markets as the most likely candidates.

They have scored over half of their sides’ Bundesliga goals this term between them (12) and are a deadly force up top. It is Werner who looks the more attractive at the current prices after netting four goals from five games in all competitions, while netting the first in the last two in which he has scored.

Leipzig Win at 1.95

BTTS – Yes at 1.52

Werner First Goalscorer at 3.75
