Leicester v Manchester City Preview, Betting Tips And Enhanced Odds

Betting preview, tips and enhanced odds for Manchester City’s Boxing Day Premier League trip to Leicester City.

Form Labs

Manchester City find themselves facing Leicester at the King Power Stadium for the second time in as many weeks. Last time out they came away with a place in the EFL Cup semi-finals, however they needed extra time and penalties to get there. Guardiola and his team will face another tough day in the office against the Foxes, but they will be expected to come away with all the points. Form labs return with their betting preview and tips for the game and if you are after some more Boxing Day value, then check out our comprehensive selection of enhanced odds!

City After The Boxing Day Points

Man City will certainly not want to miss out on any points this Boxing Day against a less than spectacular Leicester side. The Citizens may have been downed by Chelsea in their last league road game, but they have since visited the King Power Stadium in the Carabao Cup and grinded out a win on penalties and with this their second visit here within eight days, they’ll know what to expect.

Pep Guardiola’s men have a pretty impressive record on the road as they have won 11 of their last 14 trips, with eight of these victories by at least two strikes. In fact, if we exclude the ‘Big Six’ sides, then they have won 15 of their 18 unbeaten away games since the start of last season and so we don’t like Leicester’s chances very much at all.

Leicester Home Form Not Up To Scratch

Claude Puel’s men will still be hurting following that cup exit while their form at home hasn’t quite been up to scratch with just two wins from their last seven matches here. One of those victories came against a Watford side in the midst of a six-game winless run while the other was against notoriously poor travellers, Huddersfield. Their defeats in this time came when hosting Liverpool, Everton and Spurs in their toughest three games, which certainly gives us a glimpse of what this outcome may look like.

The Foxes have lost half their 26 matches against ‘Big Six’ opposition here since 2014/15, as eight of them were by more than a single strike and so this could certainly follow a similar sort of path. Indeed, that includes their title winning run in 2015/16 and they are certainly nowhere near that calibre of team anymore and a repeat of last years 2-0 victory for City here could well be on the cards.

Man City -1 Handicap At 1.9
