Back To Winning Ways For Leeds

It was a return to normal procedure for Leeds this week as they beat Preston 2-0 on Tuesday night and it was a much-needed result having fallen behind Sheffield Utd in the league following their defeat at Birmingham last weekend.

They’ll also be pleased to return to Elland Road, where they’ve won nine off their last 10 matches when excluding their fellow breakaway top-three sides in the league.

However, it’s not as if they’ve been cruising through those matches as six of their victories were by just a single strike, including results against Reading, QPR, Blackburn, Swansea, Bolton and Millwall – all of which sit below Sheffield Wednesday in the table.

Wednesday In Good Form

The Owls have suffered defeat in just two of their last 19 matches, coming against an impressive Villa outfit on their current run of six straight victories and away at Hull City, who’ve won eight of their last 10 unbeaten matches at KCOM stadium.

In fact, since Steve Bruce turned up in Sheffield, they’ve gone an impressive W6-D6-L1 from their 13 matches, although it should be noted that 10 of these came against opposition below them in the table.

Leeds v Sheffield Wednesday Betting Tips

The Whites weren’t quite the same force last season as they went down to Wednesday in both meetings, though they’ve improved on that with their only tussle so far this campaign ending in a draw.

In fact, the Owls have a respectable five stalemates from their six matches against the current top-four sides this term, as their only defeat came at the hands of the out-and-out best team Norwich, so we’ll have a punt on another draw.

Draw At 4.0
