Valladolid v Atletico Madrid Betting Tips

Valladolid surprised us all with a 2-1 victory at Real Sociedad last weekend, their first in six attempts. Their last outing at home however, saw Leganes end their 22-match winless streak on the road, so Atletico will certainly fancy their chances coming here.

Indeed, Diego Simeone’s men returned to winning ways with a convincing 3-0 victory over 5th placed Alaves last time out, and just three points off Barca at the top, there is still plenty of motivation regarding the title race. Having had a lengthy injury list, many of their key players are returning to the fold, including the likes of Diego Godin and Koke.

They should have too much class of their newly promoted opponents and indeed, Atleti have won 20 of their 26 matches against promoted sides since 2014/15, while four of Valladolid’s five defeats this term have come against the Madrid clubs’ fellow top-five sides.

Premier League Preview, Betting Tips And Enhanced Odds – Week 17

Real Madrid v Rayo Vallecano Betting Tips

An early Gareth Bale goal at Huesca ensured Real Madrid made it four victories from five in the league under Santiago Solari, with each of these against bottom-half teams. It was also their 15th success in their last 19 against a promoted outfit, while hosting bottom-six teams, they have an irrepressible record of 30 victories from 32 unbeaten encounters since 2013/14. With 19th placed Vallecano coming to town, Real are bankers to any accas for this weekend.

Indeed, the visitors have lost their last four on the road and nine of their 10 points this term have come against sides in the bottom-half of the standings. That was even against 10th placed Espanyol, and with their best defender Jordi Amat suspended – he’s made the most clearances and the most intercepts in the squad – we don’t give them any chance at the Bernabeu.

Eibar v Valencia Betting Tips

A stunning victory over Real Madrid should have kick-started Eibar’s season, but they’ve since lost to 19th-placed Rayo Vallecano and then drawn 4-4 with Levante. They won’t be afforded such luxuries going forward against this Valencia outfit as only Atletico have conceded fewer than Marcelino’s men. Eibar seem to be able to gee themselves up for the bigger games, going W2-D2-L1 against top six sides so far, but they’re just W3-D2-L5 versus the rest of the division as their inconsistency has hindered them.

This looks a fantastic opportunity for Valencia to return to winning ways after facing Sevilla and Real Madrid in their last two. They’ve actually won more times on the road than they have at the Mestalla this term, and in their last five away matches, Real Madrid are the only side to breach their backline.
