Juventus Remain Unbeaten
Juve may have dropped points for just the second time this season at Atalanta, but they remain unbeaten and Inter’s win over Napoli actually saw them increase their lead at the top.
It was the first time this season that Massimiliano Allegri had opted to rest Cristiano Ronaldo in domestic action, though of course he made an inevitable impact from the bench as he bagged the equalizer and will return to the fold here.
Sampdoria In Good Form
Sampdoria are also on a roll having won four of five unbeaten matches coming into this fixture, hoisting themselves to fifth in the table, though each of these victories came against bottom-half sides and it’s a tough ask to get anything against Juve on their own patch.
Indeed, the Old Lady have triumphed 5-0, 4-1 and 3-0 in this fixture over the past three seasons, though at 1.21 for the win, we’ll leave the straight match outcome well alone.
Home Win And Both Teams To Score?
We are however interested in the home win and both teams to score, despite the Bianconeri keeping six consecutive clean sheets before their tussle with Atalanta.
Sampdoria have scored at least twice in each of their last five, netting 14 times in total, while they also showcased their attacking credentials with a 3-0 win over Napoli early on in the campaign.
In fact, only Juve and Napoli have outgunned the visitors this term, with Marco Giampaolo’s team actually netting more on their travels than on home turf.
Mandzukic To Score Anytime
Although Ronaldo has a habit of stealing the headlines, he’s been more effective on the road this term where eight of his 12 goals have come – including four of five since the start of November.
Instead, it’s Mario Mandzukic who captures our focus at the prices, with the big Croatian netting six of his eight goals at the J Stadium.
He’s scored five times in as many games there, with four of these coming against Napoli, Inter or Roma.
