Nap – On The Road 4.00 Exeter

This looks a good opportunity for the consistent On The Road to get his head back in front. Just denied in a close finish last time out at Chepstow, a reproduction of that effort should be good enough in a race which many of his rivals come with doubts about them. Handles these conditions well being a 6-time winner on heavy going and is also a dual course winner over hurdles. Ewan Williams does well with his runners in general at Exeter including a 22% strike rate in handicap chases.

Next Best –  Morning Spirit 4.30 Exeter

Demopolis has to be respected in search of his hat-trick but this is his third race in quick succession and looks worth taking on at the likely short odds. Morning Spirit steps into handicap company for the first time today after making good late progress against the now Dovecote winner Highway One O Two. 120 could be a fair mark based on that effort and the Jonjo O`Neill combination are in excellent form at the moment (19R 6W 3P last 30 days).

Didn’t show much on the A/W recently but showed promise time before here over 2 miles. Still lightly raced so expect more improvement to come and steps up in trip today, which should suit as does seem to be getting outpaced when the pace quickens over shorter.
