Nap – Bythebay 4.30 Lingfield
Brings the best piece of form to the race after a promising effort on debut when out running his 50/1 odds over CD. Normal improvement from that experience should see him be able to take this and his trainer James Tuite does not have a bad record next time up with his runners (29R 5W 4P). Charles Bishop takes over in the saddle today and again we have decent numbers when riding for the yard to warrant a confident selection (50 A/W Runs 9 Wins 10 Places).
Next Best – Believe In Love 2.30 Lingfield
Believe In Love put in a solid effort behind the re opposing Goddess Of Fire on handicap debut over CD recently. He was outpaced at a crucial stage of the race and lost track position before staying on best of his opponents. Being only his 4th career start he is sure to have learnt plenty again from that experience and he is expected to improve past his rivals today. This is Andrea Atzeni only ride at the meeting and he has an excellent 33% strike rate when teaming up with the Roger Varian yard including 10 wins from 33 efforts here on Lingfield`s A/W surface.
Each Way – Absolutely Dylan 4.15 Catterick
Not had much racing this winter and was a faller on his most recent start at Wetherby. Did show some promise after a layoff though the time before and has now slipped back down to his last winning mark. This extended 3m 1f trip on testing ground should play to his strengths and the Sue Smith yard are normally good for a winner at the course (23% strike rate). Danny Cook comes back in for the ride and has a good record in handicap chases at Catterick for the yard (33R 11W 7P)
