Nap – Heath Charnock 6.30 Newcastle
Heath Charnock arrives here in good heart after a solid 2nd place finish over the CD 20 days ago. Drops down in grade today and Callum Rodriguez who rides the track very well should be able to track the early likely pace setter Moon Trouble before striking late.
Next Best – Lancelot Du Lac 2.30 Chelmsford
This looks between Verne Castle and Lancelot Du Lac with slight preference for the latter. A dual CD winner he looks to have slipped down to a nice handicap mark based on his recent efforts in slightly tougher races than this. Sophie Ralston claims an extra 5 off which will also help and she does well with her limited opportunities at Chelmsford (22R 4W 9P last year).
Each Way – Howzer Black 4.30 Newcastle
Another who has been sliding down the ratings recently and now gets to race from 75 in a class 5 event for the first time in a while. The hood goes on for today along with being upped to this 10f trip and he looks just the hold up type who his jockey does well on.
