Nap – Howzer Black 3.05 Newcastle
Howzer Black put in some eye-catching late work over CD last time out when looking to prove his stamina for this kind of trip. The headgear is retained today and a reproduction of last time should see him go close. Kevin Dalgleish teams up with Callum Rodriguez again and the partnership have a 23% strike rate in handicaps here at Newcastle.
Next Best – Sweet Dime 1.55 Newcastle
First run for the Jedd O`Keefe yard after winning 2 handicaps at Dundalk last year for trainer Jessica Harrington. Her new yard is very capable of readying a horse first time up and she has also run well previously after a break. Suitability for the course has to be taken on trust but her sire Toronado does have a 25% strike rate with his runners here on the a/w.
Each Way – Never Learn 2.57 Taunton
Shown very little in 2 runs this winter since returning from over a year off the track, however there is a good chance of an improved showing now stepped back up to a more suitable trip. Collin Tizzard is having a good run of things at the moment with 4 winners in the last couple of weeks and Harry Cobden takes over in the saddle today having 1 victory plus 2 placed efforts when riding previously.
