Nap – Royal Birth 2.00 Lingfield
3-time CD winner Royal Birth has posted a couple of decent efforts recently including a second-place finish here in a listed event 7 days ago. Winner of this race twice in the past he looks set to go well with Marco Ghiani claiming a handy 5lb today (3 wins from 9 rides for Stuart Williams at Lingfield). The quick reappearance for this consistent sprinter should be no issue with the selection having 5 wins from 14 under such conditions.
Next Best – Moabit 2.12 Kelso
Moabit looks to have the potential to be on a handy mark over fences compared to his form over hurdles. Not had much racing recently he looked in need of the run last time out and an improved showing is expected today. The step back in trip to 2mile on this heavy ground will suit and if getting into a nice rhythm on the front end should take some catching. Trainer Paul Nicholls continues in fine form currently operating at a 36% strike rate in the last couple of weeks.
Each Way – Cry Wolf 4.20 Lingfield
Has now slipped 6lb below his last winning mark and put in a solid effort against horses rated in the mid 80`s last time out. Has to go and reproduce that run today but does face inferior rivals and Joshua Bryan claims an extra handy 3lbs. Cheekpieces are back on today which have been worn for 2 victories previously.
