Nap – Loretta 8.30 Newcastle

This class 6 handicap is not going to take to much winning and plenty of the runners look exposed. Loretta has just had the 4 runs to date, but has shown enough ability especially when 3^rd over this CD 2 starts back to suggest this daughter of Iffraaj can pick up a race of this nature. A handicap mark of 58 looks fair based on those efforts and the application of cheekpieces should also help.

Next Best – Valtor 2.25 Ascot

2 from 2 here at Ascot another solid run is expected from Valtor  today back under optimum conditions. The Nicky Henderson trained gelding ran another solid race last time in a decent race at Taunton. The slight drop back in trip along, a 3lb lower mark and the return to Ascot should be enough for him to add another success.

Each Way – Geronimo 3.15 Haydock

A winner of 3 of his 7 chase starts and placed in a further 3, another solid effort is expected from Geronimo today. He was 7 lengths 3^rd behind the re opposing Vintage Clouds here last month in the Peter Marsh chase. A 12lb turn around in the weights should see the selection be able to reverse that form though and his low weight today in these stamina sapping conditions could be the difference.
