Nap – Casual Cavalier 3.40 Wetherby
The ability to handle the testing conditions is going to count for plenty here and this dual heavy ground winner looks to have plenty going for him today. Has been running consistently well this winter including a victory last time out at Catterick. The 4lb rise makes things a little tougher but not many arrive here in good heart and Trainer Tristan Davidson horses tend to hold there form well, (34% strike rate with last time out winners).
Next Best – Temjuin 4.45 Wolverhampton
Having just his second start for Trainer Mick Appleby who is well known for improving similar types to this. Does not have much to find to be involved based on his efforts last season for Charlie Hills. Likes to race handy and interestingly in a race that looks to have little pace to it just could find himself with an easy time of things.
Each Way – With Virtue 7.45 Wolverhampton
Just the 3 starts to date and has been off the track for 226 days but makes his handicap debut today on what could be a fair mark in time. Trainer James Tate has a 25% strike rate with horses making the switch to handicaps for the first time and first time cheekpieces along with the wind opp are reasons to expect some improvement. PJ Mcdonald takes over in the saddle and has an excellent record with his runners for the yard.
