This looks a match between the selection and the James Ewart trained Bingo D`Olivate. Both arrive here on the back of solid 3rd place finishes in similar handicaps to this but with Ballydonagh Boy just having the 4 career starts to date he is expected to improve past his main market rival.
2-time CD winner last spring and is now 3lb below that last winning mark. Normally held up for a late effort so will need some luck but should get a decent pace with the likes of Royal Dynasty, Bugler Bob & Knowing Glance all likely to want some of the early pace. Interesting blinkers replace the usual cheek-pieces today suggesting more is expected.
Looked a Filly to keep on your side at the right level when winning here over 6f last time up for inform trainer David Simcock (37R 10W 14P last month). This will be tougher up in grade and with a 7lb rise in the weights for that victory but she`s lightly raced and gives the strong impressions todays extra furlong will bring out more. Callum Shepherd rides again and he has a 35% with the stable’s runners at Kempton in the last year.
