Nap – Six Strings 3.40 Southwell
This looks a match between the top pair in the weights but I expect the Mick Appleby trained runner to come out on top today despite the impressive CD victory 10 days ago of Sandridge Lad. Six Strings dwelt at the start last time out before making eye catching late headway here over 7f. I`d expect more use to made of him today in the early stages dropping back a furlong and this looks an easier assignment than his recent races.
Next Best – Fair Kate 1.40 Kempton
Looks to have been found another suitable opportunity to follow up her recent success at Newbury 40 days ago. Stuck to the task well that day and the 5lb rise for that victory looks fair, especially considering Stan Sheppard is able to claim 3lb of her back today. Tom Lacey`s runners continue in good form and he has a solid record with last time out winners going on to success again next time (28% strike rate).
Each Way – Quantum Dawn 2.35 Southwell
With the market leaders having had a few chances between them and no standout form on offer, the door looks potential open for a newcomer to take this maiden. This colt has some dirt winners in his pedigree and sire Dawn Approach has a 20% strike rate from limited runners at the track. Add into the mix that Mark Johnston/Joe Fanning also have a good record with non-handicap runners at Southwell (18R 5W 10P) and we can expect a good run on debut.
2.55 Kempton: FANSBET PAYING EXTRA PLACE 1-2-3-4-5 (15 or more runners)
3.50 Bangor: FANSBET PAYING EXTRA PLACE 1-2-3-4 (12 or more runners)
6.45 Chelmsford: FANSBET PAYING EXTRA PLACE 1-2-3-4 (12 or more runners)
