Hearts will want to take advantage of the fact they are at home against the league leaders who are contemplating life without Brendan Rodgers who looks set to move to Leicester. Form Labs return with their betting preview and tips for the game and if value is what you are after then why not take advantage of our Scottish Premiership acca of Kilmarnock, Hibs and Celtic all to win!
Hearts Winless In Three
Hearts began the season in electric fashion, winning eight of their opening 10 fixtures, including a 1-0 victory over Celtic in the second week of the season.
However, they’re currently winless in three despite facing bottom-half opponents in each, while Celtic have radically improved since their early seasons struggles and have racked up seven straight victories as all but one of these came by at least two clear goals.
In fact, the Bhoys have been thoroughly consistent at the sharp end as they’ve netted 57 times in 20 matches, covering the -1 handicap in 14 of these.
Celtic On Top Form
Celtic’s exit from Europe hasn’t seemed to have affected them negatively on the domestic front as they went and beat Motherwell 4-1 at the weekend in an ill-tempered affair.
That’s nothing unusual for them in that they beat Partick Thistle 3-1 after crashing out of the Champions League qualifiers to AEK Athens in August, while they overcame Aberdeen 2-0 last February after going down 3-0 at Zenit in the Europa League knockout rounds.
Hearts v Celtic Betting Tips
Head-to-head meetings between the two have not been kind to the hosts in recent years, as Celtic have won 11 of 13 encounters across all competitions since 2016, netting at least three times in nine of these.
10 of those saw Celtic triumph by at least two clear goals, with the most recent clashes ending in 3-0 and 5-0 wins in October and November respectively as the gap only appears to be widening.
Brendan Rodgers may well be bound for Leicester, but the Hoops are a cut above their fellow Scottish sides and this should prove a routine victory for them regardless.
