FansBet & AFC Wimbledon: A Partnership That Matters To The Fans

Official announcement from FansBet on our new partnership with League One side AFC Wimbledon.

FansBet are delighted to announce that we are partnering with League One side AFC Wimbledon.

Here at FansBet, we are committed to putting the issues and subjects that matter to fans at the forefront of everything, and that’s why partnering with Wimbledon makes so much sense.

AFC Wimbledon are a club with the fans left, right and centre. A club that was formed by the supporters in the wake of Wimbledon F.C. relocating to Milton Keynes in 2003.

The supporters didn’t stand for this and made a move that would protect and maintain the legacy and traditions of Wimbledon F.C.

In May 2002, AFC Wimbledon began and following six promotions in 13 years, rose from the ninth tier to where they stand now, in the third tier of English football.

A truly remarkable rise which has seen AFC Wimbledon become the first club formed in the 21stcentury to get promoted to the Football League.

These are halcyon days for the football club and FansBet are proud to be partnering with The Dons at one of the most important periods in their history.

A move ‘back home’ is on the horizon, with AFC Wimbledon being granted permission to construct a new stadium on the site of the Wimbledon Greyhound Stadium which is in close proximity to Plough Lane, Wimbledon F.C.’s former home.

AFC Wimbledon are majority-owned by The Dons’ Trust, who have also now become a FansBet fan partner.

This partnership allows FansBet access to a pair of hospitality tickets to each AFC Wimbledon game, but we have decided to give these tickets back to the club to sell to help towards the fund for the new stadium.

A club with the fans at the heart and soul of it, in partnership with a company with fan issues at the heart and soul of it.

At Fansbet we offer fans the opportunity to tag a fan partner and we commit to sharing our net profit with them for causes that matter the most.

In the past we have given money back to fund areas such as away day travel for fans, supporting fanzines, supporter projects and fan-led community projects.
