Wednesday sees the curtain come down on the Champions League group stages and we have some goalscorer betting tips for you to take advantage of. Form Labs have gone with Gabriel Jesus to find the back of the net for Man City against Hoffenheim, Cristiano Ronaldo to continue his good form in Juventus’ clash with Young Boys and Memphis Depay to do the same for Lyon against Shakhtar. Check out their goalscorer betting tips below and if you are looking for some additional value then make your way over to our Champions League FanBoosts and take advantage of our enhanced odds.
Manchester City v Hoffenheim Goalscorer Betting Tips
It seems Man City’s pride is on the line after Chelsea condemned them to their first defeat of the Premier League season. Although they have a guaranteed route to the Champions League knockout stages already, Pep Guardiola will certainly want to make their life as easy as possible and so a win here is a must.
With Sergio Aguero still out, that will leave Gabriel Jesus as the front runner to start in the central striker role, and with four goals from his seven starts across the Premier League and Champions League this season, we like his chances of netting. That includes a hat-trick in his last European outing at the Etihad last month and, given the Citizens have won each of their last seven here, scoring an average of 3.86 goals per game across them, he should at least strike once.
Hoffenheim were fortunate to score stoppage-time equalisers in each of their high-scoring stalemates with Lyon, while they were downed 3-2 by Shakhtar in their last European outing. That puts them bottom of the pecking order in Group F and given they’ve failed to win any of their last four outings in all competitions, we don’t give them much hope against the tournament favourites.

Young Boys v Juventus Goalscorer Betting Tips
Paulo Dybala may be the top scorer for Juventus this year in the Champions League, but he’s generally occupied a deeper role in the team this term and with his four goals coming from just two matches, we’d prefer to be with a more consistent performer. There aren’t many more consistent than the European maestro Cristiano Ronaldo, who has six goals from his last eight matches in all competitions, including four from his last three on the road and so we’re a little surprised to not see him at a shorter price.
They face Young Boys, who have lost 12 of their 17 Champions League matches when including playoffs and qualifiers since 2015/16. They conceded an average of over two goals per game across them, while their only three victories came against much weaker opponents than Juve in the shape of Shakhtar Donetsk, Dynamo Kiev and Dinamo Zagreb.
That record includes four defeats from their five winless matches in this seasons’ group stage as Man Utd have already put three goals past them in Switzerland. Given Juve are a much better outfit than the struggling Red Devils, the all-time leading Champions League goalscorer will hope to add to his monumental 121 goals from 157 matches.

Shakhtar Donetsk v Lyon Goalscorer Betting Tips
Both sides will be gunning for the last qualification spot in Group F and although this unbeaten Lyon side sit two points above Shakhtar, they’ll be without the home advantage. The French side are winless from their last three across all competitions, though Man City had to come from behind twice at the Groupama Stadium, while another was a stalemate at second-placed Lille at the start of the month.
Indeed, their most recent outing was a shock loss to Rennes, but that ended their nine-game unbeaten run and they’re certainly better than that showing suggests. They possess a good recent away record with two wins from their last four unbeaten outings and given they netted 11 across them, as well as two or more in each of their five unbeaten Champions league outings so far, we’d be surprised if they didn’t at least get on the scoresheet.
Shakhtar have conceded the joint most along with Viktoria Plzen in this competition so far with 15 goals, and having failed to win their last two matches at the Metalist Stadium against bottom-half Ukrainian Premier League teams Lviv and Olimpik Donetsk, we don’t like their chances. Moreover, City beat them 3-0 here back in October and so we like Memphis Depay’s odds of getting on the scoreboard. The Dutch international has had a hand in eight goals across his last four road trips in all competitions as he seems to thrive away from home where he can counter with speed on the break.
