Burton v Nottingham Forest, Tuesday 30th October, 19:45
Burton’s fixture list has been incredibly tough this past week having played League One leaders Portsmouth, followed by second-placed Peterborough, while they now host Championship outfit Nottingham Forest.
They salvaged a point when visiting Pompey before succumbing 2-1 when hosting the Posh, and up against a stubborn Forest side here they may struggle.
Aitor Karanka’s men have been a very difficult team to beat this term, losing just two of 18 outings across all competitions, but they’re struggling for victories with their eight Championship stalemates a joint-league high.
However, the visitors have won two of their last three unbeaten road trips, producing 2-0 and 3-0 victories over Middlesbrough and Bolton respectively, while they were unfortunate to only draw with Leeds after Kemar Roofe illegally handled an 82nd minute equaliser.
An improving Forest should have enough quality to see off this League One side, especially since Nigel Clough’s men find themselves struggling in the bottom-half of their table after 15 appearances.
Since a stalemate with Scunthorpe just over a month ago, the Brewers have lost two of three at the Pirelli Stadium, with the exception a last gasp victory over bottom-six outfit Bristol Rovers.
