M’gladbach v Hertha Berlin Goalscorer Odds
Gladbach have come back from the winter break on a roll having won each of their three matches. Couple that with the return of Thorgan Hazard last time out and things are looker much brighter at Borussia-Park. Indeed, the Belgian created both their opportunities against Schalke whilst he also got Alexander Nubel sent off, and facing his favourite side to play against in Hertha (he’s scored more career goals against them than any other team) we fancy his chances.
Indeed, he has netted seven goals from his six such meetings to date, so we have to get behind him. Not to mention, eight of the nine meetings between the two sides since 2014/15 have seen more than two strikes, while there have been as many as five in over half of these, so the chances are he’ll get on the scoreboard at some point.
Dortmund v Hoffenheim Goalscorer Odds
We are in for a big goal haul in this fixture given five of the last six meetings between them have seen at least three strikes. More often then not it has been Marco Reus in recent years to provide the attacking threat for the hosts, as he’s been involved in a goal in each of his three appearances against Hoffenheim since 2017, scoring twice and providing an assist, so we expect him to be in the mix yet again.
The captain has scored in both his two matches since returning from the winter break, while he is now their top scorer having overtaken Paco Alcacer with 13 goals from his 19 matches. 12 of those have come from his last 15 outings, as only the woodwork denied him a brace against Frankfurt. He now has six goals from his last five appearances at the Westfalenstadion, netting in each, leaving him as the obvious choice.
Bayern Munich v Schalke Goalscorer Odds
Twenty-two points after 20 matches is Schalke’s worst points haul in 20 years and so it’s not a good time to be taking on the champions. Indeed, Bayern may have lost last time out but they had won each of their previous seven matches, and back at the Allianz Arena we’re expecting big things. It’s Leon Goretzka that has been producing the goods for the hosts in the final-third of the field of late as he has four goals from his last three matches, netting in each of them.
Having had only 11 shots from 12 appearances since late September, he’s since had since had more shots than that in the three subsequent matches following the winter break, and it seems that hasn’t been represented in his current price. Moreover, the hosts have won six of eight unbeaten matches hosting Schalke since 2010/11 in the league, with half of these victories by three clear strikes, and we fancy Bayern’s second-top scorer this term to strike again.
