Leverkusen v Augsburg Betting Tips

Leverkusen have had a turbulent time over their last eight matches in all competitions, going W4-D2-L2 as they started with hugely impressive 6-2 and 5-0 wins over Werder Bremen and B. M’gladbach respectively. Those results preceded 4-1 and 3-0 league defeats to top-six sides Hoffenheim and Leipzig, which sandwiched a vital home victory over Zurich in the Europa League.

However, although they’ve been up and down, they remain unbeaten across their last three, including a comfortable 2-0 win over Stuttgart in their last league fixture at the BayArena. In fact, when playing the weaker sides outside the top-eight, they’ve won four of seven unbeaten outings this term and so Augsburg should be no different.

The visitors are on a run of three straight defeats and morale seems to be at an all time low as they allowed rock-bottom Stuttgart to climb to 16th. In fact, excluding the four teams below them in the table they’ve lost five of their last eight outings, as their only victory came in a freak home result against the team just above them in the league, Freiburg. Moreover, Augsburg are winless against Leverkusen from their 15 encounters across all competitions dating back to 2008/09 – losing nine of these.

Schalke v Dortmund Betting Tips

The Revierderby derby has always been a hotly anticipated contest and results have proven just that, with equal records in this fixture over the last three seasons (W1-D4-L1). However, Dortmund haven’t been at this elite level of performance in recent years, as they remain unbeaten in the league this term, winning eight of their last nine.

Moreover, they’ve lost only one of 18 Champions League or Bundesliga matches this season, coming at Atletico Madrid’s Wanda Metropolitano – one of the hardest places to get a result in world football – as they won 13. That includes four straight league victories on the road and so Schalke will have to be at the top of their game to get anything from this derby.

The hosts were impressive against Hoffenheim last time out and could have come away with the full three points, but instead they see themselves with less than half of their opponents’ tally (14 compared with 33) after just 13 games. Indeed, they’ve had a slightly tough schedule with eight of their fixtures so far coming against top-half sides, including each of their opening four which they all lost.

In fact, they have lost six of eight winless matches against such teams, including 2-0 defeats in the three that came at the Veltins-Arena as they lost both halves in each, so we expect this to be a walk in the park for the Black and Yellows.

Hertha Berlin v Frankfurt Betting Tips

Hertha have just one win from their last seven outings, with that sole victory coming last time out at second-from-bottom Hannover. They’ve lost two of the last four by three-goal margins, against Leipzig and Dusseldorf, and face a tough challenge to get anything out of this game. Prior to a defeat hosting Wolfsburg, Frankfurt were one of the form teams in Europe’s top five leagues having won 10 of their previous 11 unbeaten matches across all competitions, and so we can forgive them for that little blip last time out.

Indeed, they won by three or more goals in six of those victories and so we expect them to bounce back with a win at the Olympiastadion, like they did last year. In fact, the visitors have been clinical on the road this season, going W4-D1-L2 from their seven matches as only the current top-two could get the better of them. With that in mind, we expect Adi Hutter’s chargers to record a third straight road victory in the league and add to their managers’ already impressive start at the club.
