Dortmund v Freiburg Betting Tips

Freiburg are enduring a tricky spell with just one win from their last eight outings in all competitions. That includes defeats at 13th placed Augsburg and 2. Bundesliga side Holstein Kiel in the DFB Pokal. The last thing Christian Streich’s men need is a trip to the unbeaten leaders.

Indeed, prior to hosting Club Brugge on Wednesday, Dortmund have won seven of their eight unbeaten Bundesliga and Champions League matches at the Westfalenstadion this term, including victories by at least two clear goals over all of Leipzig, Frankfurt, Nurnberg, Monaco and Atletico Madrid.

Moreover, they came from behind twice against Bayern in their last match here and when coupled with 12 victories from their 14 unbeaten head-to-heads with Freiburg since 2010/11, this should be a formality.

Werder Bremen v Bayern Munich Betting Tips

Bayern have dominated this fixture over the last seven seasons, winning each of their 15 meetings across all competitions. That includes an aggregate scoreline of 58-8 across those games and after such an impressive 5-1 midweek success over Benfica, we can’t see Werder Bremen turning that record around.

The hosts have lost three of their last four winless matches, including 6-2 and 3-1 defeats when hosting Bayern Leverkusen and Borussia M’gladbach respectively, as the latter of the two has been the only top-half team to play them on this poor winless run. Bayern have won 13 of their 20 outings in all competitions this season, losing just three times.

Although that isn’t quite up to their usual standards, they’ve still been relentless on the road, winning nine from 11, with one of those defeats coming at the Westfalenstadion.

Stuttgart v Augsburg Betting Tips

Augsburg have rested a lot of their hopes this season on Alfred Finnbogason with the Icelandic striker netting seven of their 20 goals. He will likely start here but will be lacking in any match fitness having not played a minute of football since the start of the month, which could play into Stuttgart’s hands.

Markus Weinzierl will face his old club in this one and since taking over the reins at Stuttgart, his side have encountered a tough fixture list. They’ve lost four of five games but in mitigation, those defeats came against top-six outfits Dortmund, Hoffenheim, Frankfurt, as well as Bayer Leverkusen. They won their other game during this run earlier this month as fellow bottom-six side Nurnberg were downed 2-0, while they’ve appeared more accomplished in their last couple of games under new management.

When excluding top-six sides, Stuttgart have actually won nine of 13 unbeaten matches at the Mercedes-Benz Arena since the start of last season. That record gets even better when you take into account the nine clean sheets they kept across those matches.

The visitors meanwhile, have lost half their last 10 outings as they’ve failed to win any of their last three, including a stalemate with Nurnberg before losing both their last two. This is the perfect time for Stuttgart to reduce the points deficit from Augsburg and repair the damage of their early season form.
