Whether you are an Arsenal or Spurs fan, the first thing you look for when the fixtures for the new season are released is the North London Derby. Lately it does seem that the first fixture is at the Emirates with the second fixture being wherever Spurs are playing. Being from the Tottenham area and living in Cheshunt where the Spurs training ground used to be before moving to Enfield, if Spurs win you can imagine I get a lot of stick.

It is so important that Arsenal do not lose to them! I have to say begrudgingly Spurs are a very good side and have started off the season very well, in fact I think it’s their best start in the Premier League era.

Arsenal are three points behind and victory would see them go level on points, but ahead on goal difference. Personally, I don’t like these games as it’s just a game that you don’t want to lose. I always feel form goes out of the window, both teams at this moment in time are in good touch, however home advantage always plays a big part in the derby and the fact that it is at the Emirates will hopefully work in our favour.

The atmosphere will be electric you can always feel the nervous energy around the ground. Also, this will be Unai Emery’s first North London Derby, so a new era will begin in the battles between Arsenal and Spurs.

Down the years there have been some wonderful games and I have a feeling that this one will be no different. I also believe it will be a high scoring game, so I am going for a 4-2 Arsenal win.

Unbelievably the next big game for the Arsenal is Manchester United which comes around quickly on Wednesday night. Since Sir Alex Ferguson left, Manchester United are not the team they once were, but Arsenal have not won at old Trafford since their illustrious manager retired. Wednesday would certainly be a good time to go up there and win.

Arsenal legend Robert Pires talks about the North London Derby.

I honestly do not know what is going on at Manchester United at the moment and hopefully Arsenal can put on a match winning performance. Despite saying this the best I feel we can get is a 1-1 draw, as we never seem to play or do well at Old Trafford.

Before this game I have been invited to an event put on by FansBet and I am looking forward to meeting everyone before the game.

A good bet would be an Arsenal win in the NLD and a 2-2 in the Merseyside Derby.
